Patriot League Announces Women's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll

2008 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll Get Acrobat Reader

Center Valley, Pa. - Eighty-three student-athletes were named to the 2008 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Thursday. Bucknell's Alyssa DeLorenz and Christina Garman, Lafayette's Kristin Ruminski and Navy's Margaret Gardner each posted a 4.0 grade-point averages for the spring semester.

Lehigh's Christy Smith earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll after being named the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second-consecutive season. Smith earned a 3.86 spring GPA and graduated Lehigh with a degree in industrial engineering.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's 16 winter or spring championship sports. The criteria for awarding varsity letters are different at each institution.
